An Official Release, or Forever "WIP"?
Hey there!
I wanted to take a moment to discuss the future of One Line.
I initially made this game as part of a two-hour game-dev challenge, but I've come to love the endless, arcade-style gameplay, and I'm hoping to keep working on this game over the coming days. While v1.0 made up the very first release, since it was by no means the fully fleshed-out game I want it to be, it certainly wasn't an official release.
So, what do I have in mind for an initial release date? I would like to be able to public a first, "Official" release between the 13th and 15th of February, in what I anticipate will be version v1.3. The roadmap of versions I see ahead is-
Release v1.1 will feature additional power ups, as well as a better balancing of the power-ups already in the game.
Release v1.2 will add "skins", unlock-able by accumulating points over multiple attempts, and exchanging them for the additional skins.
Release v1.3 will predominantly add additional platforming features or controls, which are as of right now, to-be-confirmed.
With those aims in mind, I look forward to releasing a number of updates between now and mid-February. In the mean time, Happy Hopping!
